“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
Dear Martin Luther King Jr. :
You changed the world.
You left a mark.
From the day you were born to the day you died, you lived for the people. You saw the light in the darkness. You saw the good in everyone. You fought for peace and justice. You fought for equality and rights. You fought for the good and today we remember you for that. We look at the extraordinary impact you made in the world. We look at the way you handled adversity and struggle. We read and share your story. You changed so many lives and impacted so many people. You showed people that love is stronger than hate. You gave hope to millions of people all over the world. Some call you a social activist, but you are more than that. By fighting for equality, you showed that everyone deserves a voice and deserves to be heard. You always used peace as your weapon. You showed the opposition that you would be peaceful and you changed the world by doing that. Even though you had tremendous opposition and that you were in danger, you never backed down. You knew that the fight was bigger than you. You faced extreme adversity but you showed the world how strong you were by acting in peace. On August 28 you led a peaceful march on Washington and on that day you delivered the “I Have A Dream” speech. You called for peace and equality. This speech changed so many lives around the world. Do you know we still listen to it? Your speech has influenced so many new movements. You have shown kids like me that anything is possible and to believe in equality. There have been hundreds of memorials and awards dedicated to your name but those don’t fully portray the impact you had on this world. What you did can’t be put into words. It’s simply extraordinary. I wrote this letter to you just to say thank you. You inspire me and many others to be the best version of themselves.
Thank You Martin Luther King Jr. For Changing The World.
